Got BeST premium some time ago but doesn't seem to work with 64bit Windows.
Seems can't find proper SQLite DLL. Probably looking for 64 bit version.

Any changes/programs I should be aware of?

PS Any new word on efforts to put e-sword on android? Maybe I'll just write my own app.

I have lost ALL highlited & marked scripture as well as tons of topic & study notes twice now due to computer problems.
God will certainly bless the one who can explain to me or direct me to where I can learn to backup my e-Sword so I don't have to start all over again.

I'm trying to turn the Open English Bible (openenglishbible.org) into an eSword module.

Currently I have a series of usfm files but I'm not sure how to go about it.

Is this a transformation that BeST can do, and if not can anyone suggest a pathway to go down?

First of all I LOVE Esword and I LOVE the BEST Tool!

I am working on importing a German Bible into Esword through BEST. Most of it is right, but there are a few occasions where BEST seems to have it's own plan of putting and importing verses.

Here is what I mean:

Does anyone know what it means when it says system.byte for every verse when you are converting an e-sword commentary to a pocket esword commentary?

Most of the commentaries I have tried to convert have worked fine, but occasionally I get system.byte for every verse instead of the actual text.

I just downloaded BeST premium yesterday and I can't BeST to talk to my WM 6.1. Active Sync works fine. I tried all of the troubleshooting steps on the article I found on this website. Under my computer, the phone shows up as a seperate device and you can navigate through the files, but BeST still does not see it.

I kept getting to the part where it tries to install primeworks, and I get an error that there is an error in the application setup and it could not be installed. I tried manually installing primeworks and this works on my phone, but BeST still does not see it. I tried to get it to work on both a Windows XP machine and a Windows 7 machine.

I also tried making an emulated mobile device on my Windows 7 machine. I could not get BeST to talk to this either. I kept getting the same error.

I emailed Ben and he says he will help me when he gets back from vacation. I also thought I would post my problem here to see if anyone has any ideas.

I'm having trouble trying to convert an .XML file which is a lexicon to a .DCT file. The file is "Die Lutherbibel von 1912 - Lexicon" from SourceForge. It shows up in MyBible as in the lexicon window.

BeST it saves a 7 KB (!) .BBLX file. Using the "xml converter to eSword 8" that DSaw mentioned for Bibles (http://zefania.blogspot.com/2009/06/zefania-xml-to-e-sword-8-converter.html), also creates a .BBL (a 314 KB .bbl from a 16 ! MB .xml...).

Has anyone experienced this problem and know how to convert an .XML to a .DCT (or .DCTX)?

I have tried to convert two Zefania XML Bibles with Strongs numbers (Luther 1912 and the Schlachter) to a .bblx file for e-Sword 9x. In both cases, a .bblx file was successfully produced, but they had only the text -- not the Strongs numbers. (I tried with both Standard and Best format conversion. I have XP and .NET 2.0 installed.)

Does anyone know a cure for this?

Alternatively, does anyone know an e-Sword compatible German-language Bible w/ Strongs numbers?

I am trying to create a Clementine Vulgate bblx, and have the text available online (on html pages), or for download via pdf (the PDF can give me actual text to copy/paste--the doc is not simply a PDF collection of images).

What would be the easiest way of doing this? I have never created a bblx before, and BEST has only given me error messages in the past. What type of file would be best to have BEST convert? BTW--I have the newest version, free version.
