Help with installing .topx files
Sat, 08/07/2010 - 16:23
If this is in the wrong section, I apologize, I looked over the forums and posts and I also did a search and didn't find an answer or an idea for where to put my question.
I have recently downloaded the 9.6.0 version of e-Sword onto my husband's laptop which is using WinVista. I downloaded a .topx file and thought that I was following the instructions for doing this, however I am unable to open it or "find" it using e-Sword. I can locate the file on the laptop, but when I try to open it with e-Sword it's not even showing that it's there on the C drive in the e-Sword folder. And, by the way, when I originally downloaded it, it went into my Downloads folder, but I moved it to the e-Sword folder.
I realize that somewhere along the line I either did something wrong or just do not correctly understand the instructions I've looked at. I've been working on this for over an hour. I say that just to make the point that I have tried to find answers and work through this already, I have just been unsuccessful.
So, any help from the experienced users here would be greatly appreciated. :)
Thanks!

That definitely works, haha. Thank you so much, Doctordavet, for that quick and simple reply and answer! :) Yay!
Hi,
when you download a .topx file, you must "extract" it by double clicking the icon. Once you begin the extraction, put the .topx file in your "Documents\e-Sword" folder. Topic modules do not go into the "C:\...\Program Files\e-Sword" folder, but rather in your "Documents\e-Sword folder.
