There are several resources I would like to have as e-Sword modules; they may already exist. If so I would appreciate direction to find them:

The Revised Common Lectionary
Daily Bible Reading Lectionaries
Daily Prayer Services
Original Language Documents, preferably with English Translations:
Didache
Early Church Fathers
Pseudopigripha
Critical Commentaries such as the Expositor's Greek Testament

Thanks,

Bill McWeeny

Re: Modules Desired

Hi, Bill,

eSU user "Dendau" has compiled a list of "known e-Sword resources" that can be seen here:

http://e-sword-users.org/users/node/3514

However, he currently has only shared them with eSU administration, and is not currently sharing with individual eSUrs. If something exists on that list that you want, you'll have to make a request to Pastor Gary, Icenian, etc.

Good luck.

I'd love to have The Dake Annotated Reference Bible as a module. Also The Expositor's Study Bible.

Copyright was renewed and most likely will not become an eSword resource

Found two
1 by Jimmy Swaggart  in copyright

2 by the editor of the Expositor which is in public domain
this is a multi volume work  finding all the volumes may be difficult

That is available as a STEP file.

Can you be more specific? I'm aware of four different works by that title. (Different authors, publishers, year of publication, and theological outlook.)

I'd like to get the Burton Coffman Commentary set on E-Sword. It is available as a free module for BibleMax, and also is all online at various websites http://www.searchgodsword.org/com/bcc/

Thanks in advance.

Hi Cobb78
Burton Coffman Commentary is under copyright by ACU Press
written Permission must be obtained for an esword resource to be created

Case in point http://studylight.org/com/bcc/ is renegotiation with ACU press for continued use of BCC

ESword used to have BCC; it's on my old laptop with an antique version of e-sword.

Which I was hoping to upgrade (new laptop) if I could get around paying the $20 for another NASB. But now I'm concerned about getting my BCC to work with the new version of E-sword as well. Is there a way to do that?

Re: Modules Desired

As I think of something e-sword is lacking..

well I just bought a quickverse 2010...for 9.99 (great deal!)...one of the things I like about it is that it has function on it that will pronounce for you certian words....I am dislexic and when I get up and preach I often find it hard to pronounce those hard hebrew names...Now I do most of my studies on e sword...but I am using quick verse just for that one function...it would be great to see e sword have this function...if any one knows if there is a mod that can eliminate my need for the quickverse please let me know (quickverse is way to expensive for me! )

Which edition?

I _think_ that that is from a self-voicing function.

I'm working _extremely_ slowly on a dictionary resource that provides the Latin, Greek and Hebrew words. Click on the word, and it will start your audio program, and you can t hen hear it.

What I don't have, are legally distributable _audio_ files.

Re: Modules Desired

That sounds really cool...that is how qickverse is....you underline it and it will say the word for you...very helpful in prepairing to preach from Numbers or Deuteronemy...ect...you get the picture.

and I bought the bible suite 2010 eddition...so I knew I was not going to get much from it.

Re: Modules Desired

Is anyone aware of a public domain Hebrew word study commentary akin to Robertson's Word Pictures or Vincent Word Studies? This would be a wonderful addition to the E-Sword resources. If such a resource is available I'd be more than willing to learn how to put it into the .cmtx format and help make it available.

I'm more opinionated than you.

I have received tentative permission from an organization that distributes the NT in Greek and Latin to use their material. The major stipulation is that the result be distributed gratis. They also want to check the work out, before public distribution. That is when final permission will be granted.

This dictionary resource is a huge project. Timewise, figure on two to three hours per word.

Thank you sooo much for the link!

The eSword 9 Converter seems to work fine on this.

Re: Modules Desired

2 questions:

1) is there any need for an updated version of the Book of Enoch?
I ask because I started re-formatting it as I read. The brackets, weird indents, and Times New Roman font had to go. I have saved (and continue to) it under an altered file name for destinction and I'd be glad to send it to you when I'm done.

Let me know.

2) I don't know how to spell it, but I have heard of a book of Yasser (Yassur?, Yashur?, ???)
Do you have that module, or at least know how to spell it so my search is more productive?

Aha! I found it. At least the name anyway.

It is the "Book of Jasher"

Okay, I found the name, but I can't find a module. Anybody know of one?

This link has the "Book of Jasher" included as a topx file. Note that there is more than just this module in the download. Also want to make you aware there have been questions as to this types of download site being the safest.

The Book of Jasher is also available as an individual topic file on eSnips here: http://www.esnips.com/doc/29a94b54-3e17-4757-9e93-2b22e507d0b4/Book-of-J...

I have the Book of Jasher topic file, but I don't recall where I obtained it now.
