Brother Percy Marongo
Brother Percy Marongo spent decades preaching the gospel in the Ciskei and Transkei. He might have owned a English language KJV of the Bible at one point of his life. He didn't during the years I knew him. During the last two decades of his life, he was never without his Bible.
The only printed textual apparatus his Bible contained, was a few cross-references to other verses. No Strong Numbers. No Red Lettering. No concordance. No index. No dictionary. No commentary. No Greek. No Hebrew. No maps. Just 31,102 verses in Xhosa.
He did not have any commentaries to delve into. He did not have any dictionaries to delve into. He did not have any word studies to refer to.
He preached a sermon every Sunday. A sermon that lasted four hours1. A sermon that was preached from the Bible. A congregation that had no qualms about telling him that he was not preaching from the Bible, during the sermon.
(1): The sermon lasted four hours. The service seldom was as short as six hours. Typically, the service was eight to ten hours long.

For the user interface to be an any specific language, somebody has to volunteer to translate the strings into that language.
For e-Sword, that means sending an email to Rcik Meyers, asking for the Excel spreadsheet with the current string used in e-Sword.
For BeST, that means sending an email to Ben Kruger, asking for the list of current strings used in that program.
