Ditto here as well. Would like to be able to convert the fine "Son of light" map file as well as others. Any one got any ideas on how to do this?

AFAIK, Rick never publiclly released the specifications for MAP resources for e-Sword 8.0.6 and lower.  He has no desire to release them for e-sword 9.0.2.  As such, there is no official support for that conversion process.

On a personal level, I am conflicted.   I like to be able to create, and use my own Maps.  OTOH, the overwhelming majority of user created MAP resources destabilized e-Sword.

The conflict is whether or not it is worth spending my time to first upgrade the resources so that they conform to e-Sword Resource Format 1, and then converting them to e-Sword Resource Format 2.

There is far more to those specifications than the details of the various database tables.

This may be old info, since the questions are over year old, but I found no answer so I did a web search and found: http://goodolclint.com/e-sword. It worked just fine on my map file.
