Why I'm Thankful for eSU
Why I’m Thankful for eSU
I wanted to take a few minutes and be thankful for eSU. Pardon the ramblings, which are not necessarily in the order of their importance.
eSU has increased the amount of Bible study tools I have at my disposal.
eSU helped me learn to maximize the vast potential of eSword.
eSU provided a place for me to ask questions, and receive answers (sometimes the answers were even helpful!).
eSU taught me about many of the free and helpful programs that live elsewhere on the ‘net. read more...
Expositor's Bible Modules at DDT
Hi, eSU,
just wanted to let you know that all of our Expositor's Bible modules have had their file names modified, but none of the contents have been edited.
Now as we add Expositor's Bible modules, they'll all be named like this:
Expositor's Bible Vol zz BookName by Author.topx
OMLB feels this naming strategy will make keeping, filing & (most importantly) finding these treasures easier than by author's last name.
Visit www.DoctorDaveT.com for more info and more modules.

Organize 1,000's of .topx Files - Start e-Sword Smart with "Smart Starter (basic)"!!
Greetings, Fellow eSUrs,
I've been collecting ministry tools (you may remember that they used to be called "books") since high school. Some of my earliest treasures were Treasury of David by Spurgeon, Treasury of Scripture Knowledge (Bible cross references, often attributed to R.A. Torrey), my beloved Strong's Exhaustive Concordance ("Strong's for the strong, Young's for the young, Cruden's for the crude"!!), Old Testament History by Edersheim, and of course my old Scofield Reference Bible. read more...
"The Baptist Historian" - Help Locating Good History Modules for the Teacher, Preacher, and Student of The Word
ATTENTION, PLEASE:
As of August 1, 2010, this blog will no longer be maintained.
This blog was originally started to help historians find historical content. (eSU only sorts .topx by author's last name; so it isn't easy to find all of its resources on anything historical.) Additionally, conservative/evangelical resource material from outside of eSU was added for the convenience of eSUrs. The result was a list of the historical resources formatted for eS that Baptists and other conservatives would find useful. read more...

from Volume 3-4 of "The Fundamentals" - A GREAT Article on "Intelligent Men Who Were Not Known as Active Christians"
Greetings, Fellow eSUrs,
I'm working on completing "The Fundamentals" edited by R.A. Torrey (General Editor). I ran across a very interesting article (several as a matter of fact - but I'm only going to post just this one), and I thought I'd give you a 'sneak peak.' read more...
Is It Time To Upgrade to e-Sword 9x?
I bought my first computer in 1989. It was an 8088 (older than even a 286 machine!). 640k memory; 20 megabytes of storage; the processor speed was 8 megahertz - I could engage a turbo button to increase that to 10 megahertz. Think through that! Current machines are 1,000+ times faster! My PDA has more power than my first computer! I paid $1,400 for that thing! It makes me sick to think of it! I didn't use Windows. I used MS-DOS. My first version of WordPerfect was 5.1 for DOS. I still remember the black pica text up against the bright blue background. But I loved WordPerfect 5.1. read more...
"The Baptist Theologue": Help Locating Good Doctrinal e-Sword Tools for the Teacher, Preacher, and Student of The Word
ATTENTION, PLEASE:
As of August 1, 2010, this blog will no longer be maintained.
This blog was originally started to help theologues find doctrinal content. (eSU only sorts .topx by author's last name; so it isn't easy to find all of its resources on any one doctrine of the Bible.) Additionally, conservative/evangelical resource material from outside of eSU was added for the convenience of eSUrs. The result was a list of the doctrinal resources formatted for eS that Baptists and other conservatives would find useful. read more...
