Hello fellow Swordsmen,

It has been over a year since I wrote, however I have been on the site at various times to see how things have progressed. I am happy to see the site is back on it's feet after the attack. And I will sing the praises of those that worked so hard to bring this ministry back to where it is. God bless everyone of you that worked on this site.

This will be my last blog for awhile. As I have made some very hard decisions, regarding my status here. I have decided to step down from the e-Sword Users team and allow some others to carry the reigns as I can no longer do so in good conscious. 4200 users!! Praise the Lord! When this site launched back in November I never thought we would reach this point so fast. We are growning so fast I can't believe it. Thank you so much for spreading the word about this site. Thank you for making it so much more than we could on our own. The forums are jumping and active. There are many questions being asked and answered by you and that is why we are here. The downloads are flying out as well. Not to mention all the uploads that we have received. We seem to have periods of great blessings and trials, but it seems about the time we have some wonderful blessings we are hit by some kind of trial. I am a little behind right now, however, the e-Sword Users Team is moving the site forward at a great pace.  I personally have not yet upgraded to e-Sword v9.  For me it's an issue of needing to backup my old e-Sword installation to the sites SAN.  When that's done I'll move up with the rest of you.  I am also very busy with school.  For those that don't know, I am in college learning how to be a Paramedic, and that takes two nights a week; not to mention the study time required.  read more...

Hello e-Sword Users!
As we have now begun a new chapter in the history of e-Sword, we here on the eSU team are working steady to expand the library as fast as we can. I know that we were all caught off guard by the sudden change in formats, however we have recovered quite well, I believe. We are now looking at over 2000 resources and we will probably almost double the size of this site in under a month. This is a huge task as are main concern was to convert all the resources that we had posted converted and available in version 9 as well.  read more...

Hey, all! I hear you loud and clear and I should have probably made it clear from the start. We are converting EVERYTHING that we can to the new format. Please be patient though, it is May and it is a really busy time of year. Kids are finishing school and going on trips, others are graduating, and others are off to see their parents. I am taking the weekend off to go to my oldest daughter's graduation, before she heads to college. However, the laptop is full of stuff to be compressed and reloaded to the server.  read more...

I know! I know! I know! E-Sword community is screaming about the new version of E-Sword. Well, I, have bad news, all the current modules are useless in the new version. Rick had no choice but to change the database engine that he used. This was because Microsoft is pulling its' support of the Access/JET engine. So we are in the process of converting as much as is possible using a tool from Rick. I am having to do each one and so far it is a very time consuming task.
